Berkshire conservation in action

Bleusky Lassetter 51 has been kindly loaned, free of charge, to Cannon Hall Farm as part of the clubs initiative to incease and distribute boars across the UK.

Cannon Hall Farm had recently purchased 2 miaden Louise gilts, who they were looking to breed with. We contacted them and discussed the initiative with Farmer Rob, who was keen to be involved.

This is vital to the conservation of the breed, not only to preserve and increase the overall number of pedigree Berkshire pigs, but to have a plan in place in the event of an outbreak of disease.

This is the start of what we hope will be an on going and sucessful initiative.
